Curriculum Reform Survey (outdated)
From ACSEWiki
Review of Curriculum Writing Team
During July 2006, the curriculum for the grade 10, 11 and 12 Computer Engineering and Computer Information and Science courses were re-written. The new curriculum is now posted by the Ministry of Education on www.curriculum.org. Feedback on the proposed changes are now being accepted by all stakeholders, such as school boards, colleges, universities and subject associations. Feedback may necessitate further revisions, which will be done during July 2007. Implementation of the new curriculum is scheduled for September 2008.
ACSE will be making a submission on behalf of our members. The links below provide you with the proposed curriculum and the survey to which ACSE will be responding.

Schedule of Discussion Points
In order to get feedback on the revised curriculum from ACSE members, the ACSE executive has compiled a list of questions for discussion. Each question will be sent out to the membership via the discussion group email list. The members are encouraged to respond to the questions that they feel strongly about either positively or negatively. Where you think there is a problem in the curriculum document, offer suggestions for improvements.
The responses for each question will be compiled on its own page on the Wiki. The information gathered through this process will be used to generate the ACSE response to the Ministry of Education surveys. If there are any issues not included in this list of questions that should be discussed, the members should feel free to post their own questions to the discussion group.
